Talking Tech September ’18: Hybrid Cloud Speaker Announced!
Cloud has evolved rapidly in recent years moving at pace from a dark art riddled with security concerns to the default strategy for many organisations, that has enabled new and innovative business models; this is the view of PSTG’s Commercial Director, Mark Barrett speaker of our next Talking Tech event.
Hybrid Cloud was a hotly voted topic at our last Talking Tech event, so we wanted to find a speaker with rich experience in cloud, which led us to Mark of PSTG. Mark works with various companies, delivering hybrid IT solutions. He previously worked for Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a lead consultant on cloud, speaking at events on the topic that is at the top of most IT departments agnda right now.
Mark believes that cloud is not a one size fits all solution, though the big cloud providers offers product lists and options that run into the hundreds of items. In this fast changing and evolving environment, Hybrid Cloud is offering a realistic entry into achieving the many perceived benefits of Cloud, such as business agility, innovation and reduced expenditure.
But what are the first steps in building a Hybrid Cloud, why should we be using Hybrid Cloud, how do we do this and when is the best time, are just some of the questions that need to be answered in developing an effective strategy. Mark’s session will look to help with these questions by providing information on the market, the journey and a framework to work from.
Mark will also be joined by a panel, open for questions after his talk. Mark Swarbick of MySQL Oracle has recently been added to the panel.
Not been to Talking Tech before?
Our September 27th event will be our third event in less than 12 months. The idea of IT professionals spending a morning information gathering, meeting industry peers and hearing from leading speakers has really taken off. We had more than 70 through the door in both events.
What’s more, it’s FREE to attend and built on a completely sales-free ethos. No sales, just pure information gathering and peer networking, with a free breakfast and hot drinks!
If this sounds like something you fancy, you can sign up here. Talking Tech takes place at the Maidstone Studios, also home of Custodian Data Centres. The event will run from 8.30am until midday, leaving you just enough time to get back to the office to share the morning’s information!
