Our unique panel format has really caught on at our events. We aim to dissect two major tech topics at every session we have, and there is no better way to do this than a good ole’ Q&A panel of some the industries best brains.
This April we attack the topics of Security (with AI) and Containerisation. Our audience are treated to a 20-30 minute talk on each topic by our guest main speakers. Thereafter, a 40 minute panel will commence with at least two extra guests from industry leading businesses available for Q&A.
So who do we have lined up for April 2019?
Security & AI
Etienne Greeff is a well-known names in the InfoSec industry. He founded SecureData, one of the UK’s largest Cyber Security agencies, recently just bought out by Orange. Etienne will be our main speaker on Security & AI discussing the rise of the machines and why as IT professionals you have everything/nothing to fear. It’s set to be quite an insightful talk. Joining him is:
Deborah Moir, Head of UK Security Consulting for BT. Deborah works with organisations across all sectors in the UK, assessing their cyber maturity and helping them improve their security posture. Deborah has more than 20 years’ experience in information security and will be bringing a huge wealth of knowledge and experience on all things security in April.
Mike Steer, Head of Technical at Reflect Digital; one of Kent’s largest digital marketing agency. Mike has a wealth of experience in IT and Security; more than 15 years’ to be exact, starting his career at Pfizer. Mike will bring knowledge and experience in cyber security and web to the stage.
Luke Whiting, Senior Software Engineer at Brandwatch will deliver his main talk on managing your micro-services. Joining him is:
Bryan Dollery is the Chief Engineer at Codification and is responsible for building a world-class engineering team at the firm. Bryan has been at Codification since 2018 and the firm are specialists in federated-cloud strategy and implementation, building secure automated software supply chains for enterprise. Bryan will bring with him a wealth of experience in containerisation, Kubernetes and software engineering which will add to Luke’s discussion. His history includes DevSecOps Lead at HSBC and Chief Engineer at First Direct.
Matthew Tanner is Group Head of Architecture at Advanced, with a history in software engineering and architecture that saw him take roles like Head of Business Apps at the Financial Ombudsman Service. Advanced are one of the UK’s largest and fasting growing software companies and Matthew has been integral in the development of their architecture.
We are also delighted that our host will once again be Simon Wood, Director at Holiday Extras. Simon has been an integral part of Talking Tech and has a vast experience in tech, building an engineering team of 100+ at Holiday Extras.
