Talking Tech September ’18: Automation Speaker Announced!

By Drew Morley

Contrary to popular belief, people are the most important factor in successful automation processes. What’s more, you probably already have all the tools you need. This is the view of our newly announced speaker on automation, Marc Turner, Talking Tech Speaker.

Automation was the most voted topic at our last Talking Tech, meaning we will be focusing on it at the September 27th 2018 event, alongside Hybrid Cloud. Marc Turner was a former head of IT for a listed IT telecoms service provider and has recently started his own business venture. During his tenure, he led several IT transformation programmes, which supported the business in its substantial growth, several acquisitions and then ultimately its sale.

In his talk entitled the culture of Automation and why it does not have to cost the earth, he will share with the attendees his experience of creating a culture of automation within his IT department by in fact, encouraging laziness. He believes freeing up time for the team to deliver value to the business, opposed to performing repetitive IT tasks.

Not been to Talking Tech before?

Our September event will be our third event in less than 12 months. The idea of IT professionals spending a morning information gathering, meeting industry peers and hearing from leading speakers has really taken off. We had more than 70 through the door in both events.

What’s more, it’s FREE and completely sales-free. It’s an ethos we have installed from day one. No sales, just pure information gathering and peer networking. With free breakfast and hot drinks!

If this sounds like something you fancy, you can sign up now here. Talking Tech takes place at the Maidstone Studios, also home of Custodian Data Centres. The event will run from 8.30am until midday, leaving you just enough time to get back to the office to share the information!
