Supporting Local Charity Kent Young Carers

Custodian Data Centres is proud to support local charities, with Kent Young Carers, a local division of Imago, being our featured cause for the past twelve months. On January 28th, Custodian representatives Leonard Kay and Holly Chittenden presented a cheque for the sum of £3357.25 during a session of the charity’s Chill Club at St Paul’s Church in Maidstone. The presentation took place on national Young Carer’s Awareness Day.
The donation was raised by a variety of charitable efforts from the Custodian team throughout 2015, including hosting a seasonal farmer’s market at the Maidstone Television Studios and competing in a gruelling dragon boat race. The young carers also enjoyed a Christmas party hosted by Custodian during the festive period. Leonard Kay, Head of Sales at Custodian, said “as a local business, we feel strongly about being a responsible member of the wider community, and for us, contributing to such a worthy cause is an important part of supporting Kent residents.”
Kent Young Carers is a charity providing support and resources to children and young people who have the responsibility of caring for a loved one. The Chill Club provides much needed respite from their duties, and offers the opportunity to spend time with other young carers in a carefree environment.
