The Custodian site boasts one of the most impressive arrays of satellite communication facilities in the
South East of England. Our southerly position and variety of up-link and down-link dishes ranging from 9m to
2.4m allows us to connect with an unrivalled number of satellites.
This extensive facility, coupled to our high speed fibre and IP network means that we can offer a range of
solutions for a wide variety of commercial applications. Satellite feeds can be connected to customer
equipment on one of our data floors, or backhauled directly via our network.

The transmission system is designed as a 4 + 1 redundant configuration sub equipped for 1 + 1
Consists of a 9m Ku Band tracking antenna.
Operates in the transmit frequency band 12.75-13.25GHz (also capable of 14.0-14.5 GHz) and the receive
frequency band 10.7-11.7 GHz.

By using fibre optic networks we can offer interference-free transmission and reception to improve the end
users' signal quality.
Our broadcast satellites are able to offer services for single channels through to multi-channel
Our South East data centre facility offers:
- Full failover for resiliency
- Multiple LNBs can be provided to add resiliency
- Ultra-resilience can be provided on multiple satellites
Smaller satellite setups are not a problem too. This can be advantageous for those with a smaller budget or
do not require full resiliency.

The earth station terminal consists of a 9m Ku band tracking antenna, and operates in the frequency of
12.75-13.25 GHz but capable of 14-14.5GHz. The receiving frequency band is 10.7-11.7GHz.
The transmit system is designed as a 4 + 1 redundant configuration but sub-equipped for 1+1. The antenna is
controlled by an intelligent antenna tracking controller and the receiver consists of 2 satellite TV
receivers, one each for monitoring the transmitted and received carrier.
